Our Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) class at A.I.M. Academy covers a range of skills, including:
- Stand-up skills (striking, such as punching, kicking, elbows, knees)
- Clinching & ground skills (wrestling, takedowns, takedown defence, throws, falls, ground work)
It is highly recommended for those training in the MMA class to cross-train in our Kickboxing/Muay Thai classes to become proficient in striking skills, and Martial Fitness classes to develop the fitness, strength & conditioning required for MMA practice.
Our MMA classes include training for the sport of MMA, as well as applying MMA skills for self-defence on the street.
We will be inviting Guest Instructors with expertise in specific areas such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, Freestyle Wrestling (and more) to further develop our MMA practitioners throughout the year.
